About Me
Hi! I'm Tobechukwu Peters, or Tobe, a product designer based in the sunny Bay Area. I was born in Nigeria and moved to the U.S. when I was 11, so I bring a unique global perspective to all my design work.

Before diving headfirst into the world of UX, I actually started out in marketing. That experience taught me the importance of understanding business goals and using data to drive design decisions. Now, I combine my marketing know-how with my passion for user-centered design to create impactful and effective experiences.
When I'm not designing, you can usually find me with a pen in my hand, writing lyrics or working on the next great (hopefully!) fictional story. Oh, and I might spend a little too much time reading webtoons...that's neither here nor there.

During my internship at Atlassian, I worked on a project to redesign the activity feed for Bitbucket Cloud, aiming to facilitate the user migration from Bitbucket Server to Cloud ahead of the server's closure. As the lead designer, my task was to transform the activity feed into a central hub for users to efficiently track changes within Pull Requests (PRs), enhancing the overall Bitbucket Cloud experience.

-
Conducted comprehensive end-to-end user research, including surveys affinity mapping, user testing, and heuristic evaluations. I led the design process from initial concept sketches to high-fidelity prototypes.

-
Collaborating was crucial in bridging the gap between design and engineering, facilitating brainstorming sessions, sketching possible solutions, and refining these ideas into actionable designs.

-
The outcome was a redesigned activity feed that significantly improved user engagement and satisfaction, as evidenced by positive internal feedback and preliminary validation through user research.
